Learn how
  • Multiple e-mail accounts: Get e-mail from multiple accounts – including Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo!, and more – all in one place.
  • Photo e-mail: Add borders and captions to your photos before you send them. Send high-quality images to your friends without clogging their inboxes with large attachments. Mail sends a thumbnail image that the recipient can click to see the full-sized photo at a private Web location.
  • Quick Views: See specific categories of messages from across all of your e-mail accounts for a heads-up that you have new messages about important topics.

  • Mail and Windows Live Hotmail share a common Contact List, so when you update one, both get the information.
  • Send text messages from inside Mail to your friends' Windows Live Messenger so you can chat without interrupting your e-mail management.
  • Windows Live Photo Gallery works with Mail to make sending photos a snap. Just select photos in Photo Gallery, click on "e-mail," and an e-mail is created with thumbnails of the photos right in the e-mail message.

What's an RSS feed?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) delivers content to you when your favorite sites have been updated.

There are two simple steps to retrieve and play RSS feeds:

  1. Choose a news reader: News readers check RSS feeds and give you access to any updates that have been added to them. There are lots of different news readers, and some are accessed using an Internet browser.
  2. Subscribe to RSS feeds: Click on the orange button that says RSS to get info you need to paste into your news reader to subscribe to the RSS feed.
